Trophy animal is skinned, and cape prepared for transport or freezing. Fee is based on weight of bear and type of skinning. (rug -shoulder or full mount) We can send the hide to a local taxidermist for mounting. Shoulder and full mounts are available locally.
Bear hides are sent to a Michigan taxidermist specializing in custom bear rugs. We freeze the hide in a insulated shipping box and ship FedEx second day. The box is $35 and handling is $40. FedEx fee runs about $200. The taxidermist handles the tanning and cleans the skull, if desired. Rugs are all machine and hand sewn with double felt ruffle, polyfil padding, lint free backing, and D-Rings for hanging. Your name and other information can be sewn into the lining. The cost is about $260 per foot
Animal is cut in a conventional way yielding roasts, steaks, stew meat, and ground meat. The meat is vacuum packed for quick freezing.
Rate times the hanging weight (field dressed – less offal) of the animal. Bring the weight registered at the tagging station.
